Join us for Compound(ing) —a two-week-long exhibition and online art auction in support of The Compound’s ongoing commitment to experimental creative practice.

The online auction will be up from November 1st to November 14th, with artworks on view in our Main Space, giving audiences a chance to see the artwork in person (appointment only). On Saturday, November 14th, we will gather for a closing reception, marking a culminating moment of presence, celebration, and support.

As a small, artist-led 501(c)3 organization, our dedicated team of part-time workers and volunteers have defined the ongoing development and persistent vibrance of the Compound. In recent years, time and dedication have led to the expansion of our Live/work Program, Multidisciplinary Arts Program, and Performing Arts Program. In efforts to expand our capacity to support the arts, develop our programs, and offer full-time positions to our dedicated staff, proceeds from this auction will support the sustainability and stabilization of our general operations—nurtured by artists, maintained by the Compound team, sustained by the community, and open to dynamic transformation—and contributing artists will have the opportunity to retain up to 50% of their sales.

This is more than a wrap-up event for this year’s programs—it is an artistic replenishment, a gesture toward building a deeper and more sustainable interface—both physically and affectively, between you and The Compound.
